Originally discovered in Africa, sesame seeds slowly became introduced to Lebanon, where they were incorporated into a variety of recipes. Once roasted, sesame seeds release notes of hazelnut which will enhance the flavors of breads, fish, avocados, mangos, and roasted apples. They can even be sprinkled over tomato salads, meats, and pan-fried vegetables. Ideal with fresh pasta, vegetable tart, seared tuna or fresh goat's cheese as well.
