50 years ago, Georges Lautour, the baker from Lonlay l’Abbaye, produced hand-made Sablé and Gallette shortbread biscuits. The villagers provided him with butter, cream, eggs & flours bringing the flavors of the local produce of Normandy to the biscuits.

The Biscuiterie de l’Abbaye wishes to make these traditional and original flavors more widely known. That’s why their pastry chefs are always working hard to produce simple recipes, and select only the best basic ingredients.
